This norm-referenced standardized test is approved by the FL DOE for PEP Scholarship renewal. This assessment is only meant for students who are not able to read on their own yet. If your child is not able to read independently yet, then this is the appropriate test for your child to take. If your child is able to read on their own, then your child needs to take the Star Reading + Star Math tests. If your child is in Pre-K, they will only take the Star Early Literacy test--not math. For Pre-K students, math is optional. K-12 students who are learning how to read, (non-readers) will take both the Star Early Literacy + Star Math tests.

Standard Test Results-- Included at No Cost
Every Star Assessment includes a free standard report which meets the requirements for PEP scholarship renewal. View a sample of the free included reports. You will receive your child’s standard test results by email shortly after test completion—typically within 30 minutes. When you select “Yes” on the order form, you are giving permission for us to securely enroll your email in Renaissance Home Connect. This allows your child’s results to be automatically delivered to your inbox as soon as testing is complete, at no additional cost. Please be sure your email address is entered correctly during checkout to ensure timely delivery. These reports are accepted for PEP scholarship renewal.
How to Save Your Standard Test Results as a PDF:
1. Open the email and select Print
2. Choose “Save as PDF”
3. Repeat for both Reading and Math results
You will then have two PDF files ready to upload to your child’s EMA scholarship portal.

Unused sessions are non-refundable, and partial refunds are not available.
Student reports must be downloaded before the account expires. After that date, access will no longer be available, unless you pay to renew for the next school year.
Parents/guardians are responsible for submitting reports to Step Up for Students, their school district, or other required organizations.
