This norm-referenced standardized test is approved by the FL DOE for FTC-PEP scholarship students in Pre-K-12th grade. This assessment is only for students who are not able to read on their own yet. If your child is able to read on their own, then your child needs to take the Star Reading + Math test. If your child is in Pre-K, they will only need to take the Star Early Literacy test--not math. Math is optional for Pre-K students. However, Kindergarten through 12th grade students who are learning how to read (non-readers) will take both the Star Early Literacy + Star Math tests. If you want your child to be able to take more than 1 test during the school year, then you must purchase our test bundle. This product is a single test session that includes Star Early Literacy and Math. All Star Assessments must be completed within 7 days of starting.
Standard Test Results-- Included at No Cost
Every Star Assessment includes a free standard report which meets the requirements for PEP scholarship renewal. View a sample of the free included reports. You will receive your child’s standard test results by email shortly after test completion—typically within 30 minutes. When you select “Yes” on the order form, you are giving permission for us to securely enroll your email in Renaissance Home Connect. This allows your child’s results to be automatically delivered to your inbox as soon as testing is complete, at no additional cost. Please be sure your email address is entered correctly during checkout to ensure timely delivery. These reports are accepted for PEP scholarship renewal.

If your email address is not verified before testing begins, you will not receive your free results and must request them. How to Save Your Standard Test Results as a PDF:
1. Open the email and select Print
2. Choose “Save as PDF”
3. Repeat for both Reading and Math results
You will then have two PDF files ready to upload to your child’s EMA scholarship portal.
